ALPHABETICAL BRAIN™
VOCABULARY FLASH CARDS

BENEFITS #2:
THREE COMPLETE SAMPLE
BRAIN FLASH CARD MODULES

    1. CONSCIOUSNESS

    2. NEURONS and

    3. SYNAPSES
The above three names are the first three examples of how the 15 FREE sample brain flash cards will be presented. All 15 online brain flash cards will have links to major references and source notes.

Each includes an alphabetical letter (or letters) and a brain diagram on the front side and a brief definitive statement and a brain diagram on the back side. By flipping each of the flash cards back and forth, you can repeatedly match the letter or letters related to each main part of your brain or major brain function.

For example, CONSCIOUSNESS, which is the first brain flash card learning module, explains that human consciousness is produced by hundreds of billions of extremely small nerve cells (neurons) that are connected to your body's nervous system by hundreds of trillions of switches (synapses).

Your brain cells are connected in a complex interactive system, which is known as the "connectome" by brain scientists who do state-of-the-art brain research. Your connectome consists of parallel processing units of nerve fibers and nerve tracts, which are contained in a complicated three-dimensional web structure of neurons and synapses.

The three-dimensional web of billions of neurons and trillions of synapses consists of several levels that enable chemical molecules to jump from place to place so you can create new responses to new situations. This structure is what connects your brain to the rest of your body. And it makes possible your ability to think and feel and make choices and become aware of yourself as a unique human being.

This new brain fact about the cause of your self-awareness solves a mystery that is as old as civilization itself. What is the source of your free will, your willpower, your creative intelligence, and your self-identity? In short, your self-awareness is caused by your brain and nervous system interacting with your perceptions of the world!

The solution to that age-old problem uses a mathematical process called "statistical modeling" to explain how seemingly "material" substances in human brains can think and love and create wonderful ideas and astonishing new tools to improve life. The math was invented by scientists earlier in history but is now used by neuroscientists to describe the experimentally known "distributed characteristics" of your connectome's functions.

The computational process emphasizes the interactive connections within neuronal circuits and between brain regions and your nervous system (connectome), which together produce your consciousness.

Your self-awareness is created when your culture's language system is superimposed on the same neuronal web of your brain's consciousness as you have personal experiences with the reality of the world of living things!

In addition, the networks of your neuronal pathways (circuits) can be thought of as separate "connectomes" in their own right since they connect specialized neuronal pathways. Those pathways make distinct aspects of your consciousness possible, such as your memory resources or your eyesight or ability to speak or feel or hear sounds!

Finally, there are 97 promotional brain flash cards with names (only) on the front side and definitions (only) on the back side.

Those brain flash cards allow you to see the sequence of names and working definitions of all 100 of the educational modules before you decide to purchase either version of the complete set of brain flash cards, either the downloadable online Brain App or printed version.
