Flash Card #36 - Details
WHAT IS YOUR
"HYPOTHALAMUS"
AND WHY IS IT
SO IMPORTANT?
Your HYPOTHALAMUS is the "dual-lobed" mechanism in the middle-front of your LIMBIC SYSTEM, which impacts your appetite by controlling your hunger, and also your thirst, sleep, and body temperature.
The two clumps of NEURONS are called the "lateral nuclei" (side of your hypothalamus) and the "ventromedial nuclei" (lower surface your hypothalamus)
