Your THALAMUS (plural is "thalami") refers to a pair of NEURON TRACTS ("nerve fiber tracks") in your LIMBIC SYSTEM, which connect your BRAINSTEM to the rest of your brain and body. One of the two nerve tracts connects your SENSORY NEURONS that SEND electrical impulses or signals UP your spine and into your brain.
